Digs Realty 2017 Q2 Update

Hey everybody!  I hope you’re all enjoying your summer.

Digs News.  What a quarter!  Eight closed deals, ten signed contracts and four new listings!  We are well on our way to closing over $50M in transactions this year, which would be such an incredible milestone for our company to hit in just our third full year of business!  We are extremely grateful for all your support and referrals!In other news, we should also be implementing some new updates to our website in the next few weeks to provide us with a more effective tool to market our sales listings and, more generally, give viewers a better experience, so stay tuned and let us know what you think.

And finally, we are very excited to welcome Adam Karol to the Digs family as our new agent!  A graduate of the distinguished Berklee College of Music, Adam comes to the residential real estate world from a career in digital marketing.  He lives on the Upper East Side with his amazing wife Juli and beautiful baby boy Joshua.  One of the most genuine and overall awesome people you will ever meet, Adam will be assisting on our transactions going forward, so all of our clients and colleagues will get to know him very well.

Market News.  The economy seems to be in pretty good shape and the residential market continues to chug along with nothing suggesting any sort of imminent correction.  Yes, real estate is cyclical, and is subject to the ebbs and flows that all marketplaces see, but we appear to be in the midst of a fairly stable and healthy period.  Demand continues to materially exceed available inventory in most unit classes, so sellers continue to get good prices, but in a fairly predictable manner.  Buyers tend to take longer to make decisions these days and deals typically take an additional few days to get into contract than they did 12-24 months ago.  Overall, I remain bullish about the market over at least the next 12 months and predict continued stable activity and pricing over that period.
