Bayville

Bayville

The Village of Bayville is located on the Long Island Sound in Nassau County. Cottages and two story wood houses can still be found throughout Bayville (a throwback to the beach community’s early days), but many have been torn down and rebuilt. Home values range, depending on size and condition, but those on the Long Island Sound command more. Bayville is part of the Locust Valley Central School District, which has top rated schools.

Bayville used to be a summer resort with a casino, hotels and nightclubs. The beach vibe in Bayville is very much alive, with multiple residents only beaches and many places to eat along the water.

Commute to Penn Station via LIRR

Bayville does not have its own LIRR station. Residents commuting by train to the city either go to the Locust Valley station, a short drive, or to Hicksville, a longer drive. The Locust Valley train is over an hour and usually requires a change in Jamaica. The Hicksville train is direct and takes approximately 41-47 minutes.

Fun Facts

The Village Hall, the Bayville Free Library and the Village Historical Museum are in a complex on School Street. This used to be the garages, stables and staff quarters for Oak Point, a 60-acre estate that was donated to Bayville in 1950.

What We Love

Bayville Adventure Park, a pirate themed amusement park, and the beach vibes.
