250 W 90th Street, New York City, NY 10024

Perched atop The New West Condominium on the Upper West Side, Penthouse 4A is a jewel in the sky, unlike any other apartment in the building. This triple mint two-bedroom, two and a half bath residence has undergone a meticulous gut renovation, emerging as a sanctuary of light and high-end design. With three exposures to the North, South, and West, the home is bathed in natural light and features breathtaking views of the Hudson River from every room. Every inch of this penthouse speaks to a refined aesthetic. Underfoot, wide-plank White Oak, torched rift, quartersawn flooring sets a rich tone with its wire-brushed and cerused satin finish. Soaring ceilings are accented by elegant crown molding and baseboards, while new tilt-and-turn windows frame the expansive views. Custom built-ins throughout the apartment maximize storage and provide an appealing finish to the space. Enter through the well-appointed foyer, where there is a discreet powder room and a large coat closet. This leads to the windowed, gourmet kitchen. A wall of SeiMatic custom pantry storage blends form and function, and a suite of professional-grade appliances makes this kitchen a chef’s dream. The lineup includes a Wolf stovetop and oven, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a Monogram microwave convection oven, and a panel-ready Fisher & Paykel 2-drawer dishwasher. Retreat to the bedrooms, where bespoke closets are finished with Luxe by Alvic door panels imported from Spain, and the bathrooms serve as private spas. Each features a walk-in shower with a gorgeous picture window for exceptional light and air circulation. Porcelanosa tiles are featured in both bathrooms, while the primary bathroom is finished in striking Sahara Noir marble, renowned for its dramatic geometric amber-gold and white veining. There are three heating and cooling zones throughout the apartment, and there is a semi-private washer/dryer just outside of the apartment. An in-unit washer/dryer may be added with board approval, and there is the possibility of converting this home to a true three-bedroom apartment. This home was a labor of love and features finishes you won’t see in any new development. Located in a premier full-service building, residents of 250 West 90th Street enjoy access to a recently renovated fitness center and residents’ lounge. There is also a large lap pool, jacuzzi, and separate men’s and women’s saunas. In addition, residents have access to a beautiful, landscaped roof deck with open views of the Hudson River. There is a 24-hour doorman, as well as a live-in super to ensure service and convenience at all times. This pet-friendly building is exceptionally well maintained and has strong financials. The New West is one of the Upper West Side’s most sought-after full-service condominium communities.
