315 E 68TH Street, New York City, NY 10065

A rare working wood-burning fireplace sets the tone in this classic Lenox Hill prewar one-bedroom, complete with beamed ceilings, excellent closet space, great light and plenty of windows with western and northern exposures.

The gracious living room retains original character, with coffered ceilings, newly sanded and stained oak-strip hardwood floors, detailed moldings, and Art Deco style sconces. The king-sized bedroom has two exposures, an arched doorway leads to the two original closets plus an additional dreamy expansive walk-in closet. The windowed bathroom retains its prewar character with marble tiling, pedestal sink and cast-iron tub.

The bright, windowed galley kitchen features granite countertops, a new stainless-steel refrigerator and microwave and ample storage. A generous open dining area, flanked by built-in shelving, rounds out the layout.

Built in 1931 by renowned architects George and Edward Blum, 315 East 68th Street conveniently located near some of the city’s great restaurants, shops, major hospitals, and the Midtown business district, with crosstown buses and the Q train just around the corner.

The building backs this up with a 24-hour doorman, concierge, and live-in superintendent, plus a landscaped front courtyard, rooftop garden, laundry room, fitness center, bicycle storage, and private storage. Co-purchasers, guarantors, and pied-à-terre buyers are welcome, with up to 75% financing permitted. Pets and in-unit washer/dryers are allowed, pending board approval.
