145 HICKS Street, New York City, NY 11201

A Rarely Available, Architect-Designed Residence in the Heart of Brooklyn Heights – A68/B68

Set atop the historic Mansion House at 145 Hicks Street, this extraordinary 1, 700+ square-foot turnkey residence has been thoughtfully reimagined by its award-winning architect-owners into a home of exceptional scale, light, and design.

Originally configured as two adjoining prewar apartments, the residence was transformed into one expansive and beautifully cohesive home when the owners acquired the neighboring apartment (owned by Lena Dunham). The result is an exceptionally spacious layout offering two king-sized bedrooms, an oversized home office easily adaptable as a third bedroom, two large spa-like windowed bathrooms, an elegant formal entry, and a spectacular living and entertaining space with a full-sized dining area.

Perched on the top floor of this well-respected coop, this home is bathed in natural light throughout the day, thanks to 14 west-facing windows that capture beautiful city views and glow with enchanting, twinkling skyline vistas after dark. Every detail has been carefully considered, resulting in a residence that is at once sophisticated, comfortable, and effortlessly livable. The generous proportions and open flow make this an ideal home for entertaining on any scale.

At the heart of the home is a magnificent 400 sq ft. Great Room, anchored by a handsome decorative fireplace and generously proportioned for both grand entertaining and relaxed everyday living. Herringbone white oak floors lend warmth and architectural character throughout.

The open chef’s kitchen is as beautiful as it is functional, featuring custom cabinetry, luxurious Calacatta Gold marble countertops, and a full spectrum of high-end appliances, including a Thermador Refrigerator, Bertazzoni cooktop, Miele dishwasher, and U-Line wine refrigerator, complemented by the Waterworks kitchen faucet, and handmade ceramic tiles. A double-drawer under-counter Monagram Refrigerator offers extra convenience for your entertaining ease.

Thoughtful enhancements continue throughout the residence, including Washer/Dryer, recessed, dimmable LED fixtures throughout, custom-fitted closets, sound-dampening construction, and a private double storage cage in the basement.

The storied Mansion House itself is beautifully landscaped and welcoming, with a gracious front entry, a live-in superintendent, and daily doorperson coverage from 7 AM to 11 PM.

This home’s truly welcoming foyer has gorgeous white oak floors, a large closet with entry mirror and built-in bench with storage. And the location is quintessential Brooklyn Heights. Transportation, acclaimed schools, beloved restaurants, and neighborhood shops are all just moments away, while Pierrepont Playground, the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Brooklyn Bridge Park and its waterfront, DUMBO, and the Brooklyn Bridge are all within a few blocks.

For those seeking a turnkey residence with exceptional design, generous proportions, abundant light, and the ease of full-service living in one of Brooklyn’s most coveted neighborhoods, this is a truly special offering.

Welcome home.
