BACK ON THE MARKET AND JUST REDUCED..SUPER CHIC LANDMARK TOWNHOUSE

JUST REDUCED AND BACK ON THE MARKET on this charming cobblestone street that evokes the spirit of early 19th-century New York, this stunning 1825 townhouse has been meticulously restored over a 2-year renovation. Originally built as a Dry Goods storehouse to service the ships docking at Beekman Slip, this home has been modernized for the 21st century while retaining beautiful details of it’s past.

The residence is defined by soaring interiors and a dramatic 4 story staircase at its core. Original wide board floors and hewn beams reclaimed from an 18th-century barn, along with imported doors from a country estate, lend a sense of history and permanence. Every detail has been carefully curated to create a home of both refinement and comfort.

The chef’s kitchen is anchored by a custom La Cornue range paired with Sub-Zero and Miele appliances and a vintage double soapstone sink reclaimed from an upstate farmhouse. Further up the staircase is a gorgeous living room with views over historic Beekman Street. The primary bedroom has 2 custom work spaces in cozy niches. The primary bath is centered around a six-foot freestanding porcelain soaking tub complemented by an ebony apothecary cabinet with antique marble sink. On the first level is a separate bedroom, office, or studio with its own half bath. Washer/Dryer are located on the second floor and there is central A/C in the home.

Crowning the home is a private rooftop garden, offering glimpses of ship masts along the East River.
