A Once-in-a-Generation Opportunity to Create a Central Park Trophy Residence at The Dakota

At New York’s most iconic address, this extraordinary offering presents a rare chance to craft a legacy home of remarkable scale and significance. Spanning nearly 6, 000 square feet with over 130 feet of direct Central Park frontage and multiple exposures, this residence is the foundation for what could become one of the most important homes on the park.

With an expansive footprint and an abundance of existing wet areas, the apartment can be reimagined into a world-class layout featuring five en-suite bedrooms and a dramatic entertaining expanse with living and dining rooms stretching over 80 feet along Central Park-a scale rarely achievable in any building, let alone one of this pedigree.

Nearly two dozen transactions spanning decades were required to assemble this offering, resulting in an irreplaceable combination of width, volume, and light. Soaring 11+ foot ceilings, iconic pitched-roof dormer windows, and sweeping park views provide the architectural framework for a truly exceptional transformation.

The Dakota’s unmatched provenance and character elevate this opportunity even further. More than a residence, it is a cornerstone of New York history housing leaders in art, culture, finance, and global influence. Residents enjoy white-glove service, including 24-hour doorman and concierge, along with a private courtyard garden and fitness center, all within one of the most storied cooperative buildings in the world. Create your generational home defined by scale, views, and legacy.

Additional features include basement storage and the ability to install a self-contained rooftop central air conditioning system. Flip tax of 3% paid by buyer.
