Nolita
Nolita, or North of Little Italy, is a small and cozy neighborhood in Lower Manhattan, bounded by Lafayette Street, Bowery, Houston Street and Broome Street. It is far more intimate than Soho, its busier and more touristy neighbor to the west. The residential real estate market is quite competitive and comprised largely of tenement style pre-war walk-ups with a few expensive condo conversions and new builds. Commuting is easy, but finding green space is not.

Fun Facts
Nolita used to be considered part of Little Italy, but it has developed its own personality and lost much of its Italian character in recent years as fashionable boutiques, restaurants and bars fled the rising rents of SoHo.
