Cobble Hill
Bounded by Atlantic Avenue, Hicks Street, Degraw Street and Smith Street, Cobble Hill may be one of Brooklyn’s smallest enclaves, and it is one of the most in-demand. While quite different from what it was just two decades ago, the historic blocks of Cobble Hill are still filled with family-owned food shops and independent retailers, but also expensive townhouses and condos. Home to some of the most picturesque blocks in New York City, you will never run out of beautiful brownstones to look at, or quaint tree-lined streets to walk down. However, inventory is light given the large designation as historic district (and, as a result, the lack of development) and desire by many to live here.
