Bounded by State Street, Smith Street, Baltic Street and 4th Avenue, Boerum Hill offers picturesque historic brownstone blocks and many options for food and shopping on Smith Street and Atlantic Avenue. Given its proximity to Downtown Brooklyn, residents can enjoy their peace and quiet with easy access to the Borough Hall and Atlantic Center transit hubs. Like the other small historic Brownstone Brooklyn neighborhoods, Boerum Hill residential inventory is tight, with most apartments found in the neighborhood’s many townhouses and brownstones. The last 20 years, however, has brought condo development to the northern blocks of the neighborhood.
