Tarrytown is a village in Westchester, located on the Hudson River. Sleepy Hollow lies to the north of Tarrytown, Irvington to the south and unincorporated parts of Greenburgh to the east. The Central Village neighborhood was named one of the hottest places to live in Westchester by Westchester Magazine October 2017. Tarrytown provides easy access to New York City via its Metro North stop as well as to Rockland County via the Tappan Zee Bridge which crosses the Hudson River at Tarrytown. Homes close to the train station are very popular with people who commute to New York City for work. Main Street is the village’s commercial heart and features low-rise buildings with restaurants and shops at street level with apartments above.
