Gramercy is located on the east side of Manhattan between 14th Street and 23rd Street, from Park Avenue to Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper Village. Known for its quiet tree-lined side streets, the area surrounding Gramercy Park is home to some of the City’s most beautiful (and expensive) pre-war apartment buildings. If you get lucky enough to land a home on the park, you will be one of the elite few who is given a key to the quiet and pristine park. The tallest buildings in Gramercy are around 20 stories high due to the topography of the neighborhood, so light abounds, and you won’t have to worry about a new high rise going up and blocking your view. Stuyvesant Square Park, a quiet and low-key park, anchors the southeastern portion of the neighborhood. You will find many high-end doorman buildings towards the west, with more affordable options as you head farther east.
Gramercy Park is one of only two private parks in New York City.
